I went to engineering school in Philadelphia, Drexel University, a cooperative internship, then 3 semesters at Harford Community College earning an associates degree in laboratory technology, worked in the library, made the dean’s list, did first year electronics technology courses at Harford Community College, then 3 semesters at Oral Roberts in Tulsa studying engineering and European history, a lifelong community college student accumulating 200 credits.
I have repaired television models since the early 1960s floor models Zenith, RCA and Magnovox, and audio through the new flat panel LCD with LED backlight. The internals have evolved from point to point wiring terminal strips and vacuum tubes to printed circuit modular circuit boards holding transistors and integrated circuits to the new multiple layer printed circuit boards holding surface mounted components, soldering technology from solid tip to hot air. My experience extends to home audio and smartphone, tablet, notebook computer and desktop systems
With help from my partner home construction and remodeling expert we can install a home theater with surround sound system and antennas terrestrial and satellite.
